The Education & Training Coordinator will support the Education and Training Pillar. The position will focus on eliminating selected losses which occur because people don't have the needed skills. The Education and Training Coordinator will drive initiatives to support methods and processes to enable the plant, department or team to develop the training needed to address its identified losses or opportunities so that they can deliver on the Compelling Business Need (CBN).
The primary duties and responsibilities of this position are:
Prepare and conduct onsite training.
Use education principles to develop site training, schedules, maintain training manuals, and track new training methods and techniques.
Maintain related training equipment/database and records. Proficient in the operation of training media and equipment.
Observe and evaluate results and overall effectiveness of training program.
Coordinate new hire orientation training.
Provide train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts. Act as primary coach for site Training Coordinators.
Use Smucker Quality Management Systems (SQMS) training techniques to include:
Owner of the plant One Point Lessons.
Safety KE leadership.
Completes the step-up card for the role in a reasonable amount of time.
Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) system owner.
All other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED. BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field a plus
Special Requirements:
Must be able to demonstrate and navigate Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods and techniques.
Proven work experience in coordinating multiple training events in a manufacturing setting.
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent office administration skills (orderly files, computer skills, etc.)
Able to train others using performance based methods and SQMS principles.
Able to manage time with minimal supervision.
Flexible to change shifts to meet training and hiring needs at the site.
Willing to travel to attend E&T related meetings.
